Stormy weather

August 15, 2012

Well I never saw anything like the amount of rain that fell in a short space of time this morning.  We were almost washed away here as we’re on a low point of the road and water was flowing in from left and right.  Luckily the water could escape down the field, if it couldn’t have got away we would have been in trouble.  I saw floods in the land behind the house which I’ve never seen before – mad stuff.  It was really nice on Carnivan beach in the afternoon though.  It was still windy but lovely and sunny and warm, there was even a few brave swimmers out.

Did you see Surf ‘n Turf this evening on RTE1.  It was shot in Kilmore Quay, it portrayed the area very well.  I enjoy Paul Flynn’s sense of humour…  I was at Kettlebell class with Cara, Into Fitness earlier and got home just in time to see the programme.  I’m expecting to be very sore after the class as I haven’t done much exercise over the past few weeks.

Nothing else to report except that I’m still dreaming about all the new season fashions that I saw in New Ross yesterday.  Bring on autumn…  I must go now and check my Lotto numbers, there’d be no stopping me buying if my numbers came up!

Sin é
